Quilled Side Saddle Lady

Quilled Side Saddle Lady Quilled Side Saddle Lady

For those who are wondering what the side saddle is. Sidesaddle riding is a form of equestrianism that uses a type of saddle which allows a rider (usually female) to sit aside rather than astride an equine. Sitting aside dates back to antiquity and developed in European countries in the Middle Ages as a way for women in skirts to ride a horse in a modest fashion while also wearing fine clothing. It has retained a speciality equestrian niche even in the modern world. ( source: Wikipedia ).And now something more about my Lady on the bay horse. She and her steed is made of 3 mm paper strips twirl into teeny tiny loops! YES!!  It’ is loads of work but the effect is worth it! To make this card a spent 5 hours with my quilling tweezers glueing my loops one by one.
