Floral Boxed Name Day Greeting Card

This time I wanted to show you my floral boxed name day card! Yes I just discovered another dimension in card making 🙂 and I love it! As much as adding a new textures and colours to my new range of cards 😀

These are very simple but very effective small flowers made of 3 mm paper strips. The big yellow flower is made on a gulling comb/onion holder ( one of my favourite quilling tools ). to be honest I prefer an onion holder despite of its sharp ends. OUCH!

If you’re wondering what are those shiny dotted gems, here is the answer! These are an acrylic dotted gems. They are very hard to find here in Ireland but I have some in my stash 😀 No worries then!

As you can see I’m getting better and better in making small boxes. I think this one is an absolute limit in terms of depth. This box is 1 cm depth and I rally wasn’t sure if it was a good idea… It was very hard to stick it together, maybe because of my double sided sellotape or density of my card stock! Anyway lesson learned. Next time will be easier 😀
